We are back from tour, which was a blast, of couse. I have been super busy but all the tour comics are plotted out and ready to be drawn...I just need the time! Also, two new additions will be made to the store and adjustments to the sizes we sold out of on the road will be made as well.

We have two Texas shows in November, one is a post Austin Comic con part at Skinnys on the 12th (FACEBOOK INFO HERE)

and the other is at Hailey's in Denton on Nov 18th with Dust Congress and Welcome Signs.

Classic Creeps LIVE ACOUSTIC CASSETTE + Alberto CDR Edition

Hey guys! We leave for tour tomorrow and I wanted to show off a few new items we'll have on the road with us.

The first is a super rare limited edition cassette release of Classic Creeps performed live on acoustic instruments by Ryan, Rob and myself. Michael Briggs of Gutterth and the Violitionist sessions recorded it at his place the day after we got back from the west coast leg of the tour and it sounds great! This is going to be put out by Slanty Shanty Records out of Norman, OK as part of their Tape Club but we will have some copies on tour.

Next we have a the ALBERTO SIMMONS EDITION of the Classic Creeps CDR!
These were handed painted in shades of yellow and white and then screen printed with brown ink. Each one is unique, handed numbered, painted, silkscreened and then burned to a fauxvinyl CDR, singed and put in a plastic slip cover. There are only fifty of this edition, we'll sell them on tour first and then put the remaining on the website when we get back.

We're back from our west coast leg of the tour! It was pretty excellent! Thanks to everyone who came out and to all the new friends we made. I didn't have time to draw any comics on the road but I've been taking notes and plan to draw a comic for every tour date and post them up here. Yeah, I know I haven't finished that other comic project I started this summer yet, but I haven't forgotten about it. Everything will get done eventually.

We had a lot of fun touring with this acoustic set up and it looks like the fun will continue with our east coast dates, aside from our Athen's popfest performance which will be with the full band. Here are a couple of songs from our awesome packed L.A. show at Pehrspace shot by sexwithdonuts.com . This is the only time we have ever played Duncan live!

We recorded a live version of our acoustic tour set last night at the Violitionist studio and plan to release that some where in the future.

I'm going to update show dates here shortly so look out for that too.

New Classic Creeps CDR-ARCHIBALD ASPEN EDITION

The Autumn the Owl Edition of the Classic Creeps Limited Run CDR set is almost out and since we are about to be out on tour for most of September and October, I made the next run! The Archibald Aspen Edition is made up of 49 chipboard sleeves hand painted with shades of blue and then screen printed in red. The CDR's I use are a faux-vinyl so they look like little 45's. Each one is hand numbered, signed, and unique. After these are gone another edition with different colors and a different character will be made. They are ten dollars+shipping in the yofishboy.com store or on bandcamp (and come with a digital download) and ten bucks at shows!

As some of you may or may not know, my day job outside of music/comics/embroiderizing super customized album portraits is working as a freelance video editor and cameraman. Two weeks ago my worlds collided as I got a call to shoot the band Why? as they recorded their new album in Argyle. Fishboy has opened for the band twice in the past so I am very excited to be capturing moments on video and now comic format.

I haven't had a lot of time to draw everything that has already happened but I've been saving up stories and will be posting them here. Stay Tuned!

Good Morning everyone! Today we have the first official music video from Classic Creeps for the song: Autumn the Owl (Mistakes the Feelings of Being In Love with the Feelings of Being an Owl) I directed it my self by hand writing the lyrics and waving them around the screen with some owl (and human) friends. Classic Creeps CDRS!

Here are some pictures of a limited edition first run of Classic Creeps CDR sleeves I made this weekend. Since there won't initially be an "official" CD release of the new record I made these for folks who still prefer the format. The first run of 50 was made by hand painting orange and yellow designs on chipboard sleeves and then gocco silk screening the front and back cover. If another run is made there will be new colors and a new design with a different character from Classic Creeps on the cover. This one is the "Autumn the Owl Edition"

These will be up for sale online tomorrow, as well as at shows until they sell out.

It looks like the "official" release date of the album has been pushed back to May 10th which means that is the day that the record will hit stores. I should still have copies at the release show and if you ordered a copy from HHBTM.COM you should still get it around the 19th. It seems that pressing plants have been overwhelmed because of Record Store Day exclusives causing delays in everything everywhere.

Classic Creeps Update! New Acoustic Vid!

First, Mike posted a small picture of what the buttons and poster will look like over at the hhbtm blog. It seems there are still plenty of $20 packages left with the vinyl, poster, and button set, but only 4 packages left with the embroidered cover (w/ vinyl, poster, and button set). So if you want to get one of those you still can but it wont last long because I've already started making them. Also, if you bought one of those embroidered covers and haven't heard from or responded me or Mike asking for a picture reference please send me one ASAP.

The release show is three weeks away! This is going to be an extremely fun show with three of my favorite local bands: Spooky Folk, New Science Projects and Alphabet. Mark the date! April 23rd at Rubber Gloves!

Albatross Vinyl For Sale! and new SHIRTS!

Well, I stayed up really late but I finally got the albatross vinyl up for sale. check it out here
With every purchase of the vinyl (and now digital) you will receive the following digital bonus tracks:

Audio from the 2007 Albatross CD release show; We played the entire album and more while being yelled at by an obnoxious fan. (this is a pretty rough recording, but dont worry there's more!)
Audio from an hour plus radio performance we gave in 2007 on tour in California featuring some pretty hilarious and awkward banter. We played the whole album here as well and the audio is a little better (and gets better toward the end)
Six demos! (tracks 4-9 on the album) Pretty much the only listenable demos I could find.

Overall, this is somewhere around two hours worth of bonus Albatross content! But best of all is the vinyl record which really is beautiful. Many many thanks go out to Arnaud and his new Fishstick Records imprint for helping put this thing out.

I decided to sell it on bandcamp (and move my whole store there) as opposed to my site so that you can instantly get the digital bonus stuff once you buy the vinyl instead of having to wait for me to email you a link. Also, they accept more than paypal which is nice. It still has a couple of kinks but please let me know if you have any problems and we will work something out.
